Welcome to MET Online. This tool enables data custodians to enter and maintain online those metadata records they wish to publish in the NSW Natural Resources Data Directory.

MET Online is compliant with the ANZLIC Metadata Guidelines, version 2, 2001 and the ANZMETA Document Type Definition (DTD), version 1.3. MET Online also collects some additional metadata for NSW datasets (NSW Page 1 metadata).

Data custodians may enter records online or batch upload records from their own organisation's metadatabase providing the records comply with the above standards. You can also download metadata records from other custodians for incorporation into your own metadatabase.

Data custodians who wish to use MET Online must first register with the NRDD Coordinator at nrdd@dipnr.nsw.gov.au who will issue a user ID and password.
